Relationship between Gems and Human Body

The five fundamental elements of the cosmos are also the same in our human body. If balanced in proportion they keep the body healthy through the sun-rays. The same elements are found in the gems which are as follows :-

There is the fire element in Ruby and Coral; the water element in Pearl and Diamond; the earth element in Emerald; the sky element in Yellow Sapphire and the air element in Blue Sapphire.

These mysterious and coloured gems have great influencing and charming effect on human life. On the basis of purity and hardness, they have been performing great deeds by lessening the malefic effects of planets over the human life and they bring harmony in the good and bad effects of planets.

Each and every gem is extremely radioactive and has the capacity to attract the special cosmic rays towards it. Planetary tremors influence our sensitive sinews or veins. Our classics (mythology) tell us that the position of planets in the solar and lunar systems at the time of child's birth influence every child throughout life. Sometimes the weak influence of planets and stars create imbalance in life. The wearing of gems after proper astrological consideration of one's horoscope, can save mental imbalance, physical suffering and financial obstacles. In this way gems serve as our armour and body guard.

IN human body the Sun represents the soul, the moon mind, the Mars perseverance, the Mercury voice, the Jupiter Wisdom (learning), the Venus Love, the Saturn sobriety , thoughtfulness. These planets influence human life and body continuously. In addition to these planets there are two shadow planets (Rahu and Ketu) whose effect is also seen in life.

In Tantra Sara, a famous tantrik scripture, the human body is stated to be an island of nine gems. These nine gems correspond with the nine metal constituents (dhatus) of which the human body in constituted. The gems related with the nine ingredients (dhatus) are : - Flesh - Yellow Sapphire, Hair - Blue Sapphire, Skin - Cat's Eye, Blood - Coral, Bone - Pearl, Marrow - Emerald, Fat - Hessonite (Gomed), Semen - Diamond, Vitality (Life Force) - Ruby.

Gems work with both kinds of energy - physico chemical i.e. electrochemical ; and pranic, i.e., the vital life force - weather they are used as Jewellery or taken orally as pastes or oxides as Bhasmas of the gems.

Wearing of these gems influences the dhatus and the psycho physical well-being in human life. The Puranas present beautiful stories about the origin of gems that convey the utility of the gems. The Karma Purana states that gems were created from the seven different kinds of rays of light emanating from the seven major planets of our solar system. These rays were transmitted in the seven colours of the rainbow : Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange and Red. These seven rays of light are responsible for all the cosmic existences in the cosmos, including the human body. Colours are the frequencies of light in different bands, and therefore they emit energy in different forms, which directly influences human body and consciousness. There are hot and cold colours and colours that are neutral ( neither hot nor cold). Hot colours increase heat, which results in arrogance and anger, cold colours bring calmness in life system. The neutral colours produce pleasant feelings and joy.

The chemical nature of gems brings them in close contact with man. They are crystals of clear and purified chemicals that are also found in the human body. Their contact with the electromagnetic field of the body becomes easy when they are embedded in pure electrolytes like copper, silver, and gold, used in rings worn between two joints of our fingers. Joints are naturally the most sensitive parts of our body, where the network of nerve fibers and the lymphatic fluid is the most concentrated. The nerve fibers and the lymphatic fluid together serve as the assimilators of energy emitted by the gems. With their slight and constant contact with the skin, they bring changes in the body chemistry by their interaction with the body's energy field, which is permeated by a complex electromagnetic field.

Ancient Scriptures from across the world have appraised gems as powerful agents of energy that influence human fate and destiny, induce good energy, and expel the negative energy that causes sickness, suffering and psychosis. Gems brings peace, prosperity and happiness. Favorable gems bring about name, fame and power and make life comfortable and prosperous.

Gems, as storehouses of divine energy, are used for carving objects of worship, idols, rosaries, talismans (Yantras), amulets, pendulums and so forth. They were also used for mandalas and pots used for offering the holy water or keeping the offerings for concentration. Lingams and Yantras in Pyramid shape are made of Sphatic (quartz). We believe that Yantras carved on stone or Rudraksha give siddhi (power to achieve the desired goal) quicker that a rosary made of other beads.
e all have an astral 'aura' around us which we cannot see. This astral aura can be felt mainly by kids in their infancy - 'mothers touch, healing or comforting touch etc. When we wear a gemstone, it affects our astral body more than physical body. This results in many effects on physical body.

Gemstones carry two main effects:

1. Medicinal - they can help reduce the malefic effects of any diseases, strengthen chakras , balance emotions , control metabolism and help reduce stress.
2. Destiny / fate - Gems enhance our aura , positivity , luck and attraction and thus enable creation of positive manifestations of wealth and abundance in all aspects in our lives.

Gems do not represent any Deity. In a simple language planets represent Deities. When planets are beneficial - particular gemstone for that planet is advised to make it stronger and increase the beneficial effects, provided other conditions satisfy. If a planet is creating problem, remedy depends.

Jupiter- Sadasiva - Stone Yellow saphire

Sun- Siva - Stone Ruby

Mercury-Krishna - Stone Emarald

Moon- Gauri, Krishna, based on its position in horoscope - Stone White pearl

Saturn- Hanuman or Kali, based on its position in horoscope - Stone Blue saphire

Rahu- Durga - Stone Gomed

Ketu - Ganesha - Stone Cat's eye

Mars - Skanda, Hanuman, Kartikeya - Stone Red coral

Venus - Lakshmi - Stone Diamond

The above list does not mean that (for example) for Ganesha's blessings, one should wear a Cat's eye or for Siva's blessing one should wear a Ruby.

Sani
Moola or Bheej mantra for Sani or Shani or Saturn
शनि"Om pram preem proum sah shanaischaraya namah"
ShaniNeed to do 19000 times in 40 days (475 times a day)
The origin of word Shani(शनि) comes from the following: Shanaye Kramati Sa: (शनये क्रमति सः) i.e. the one who moves slowly. Saturn takes about 30 years to revolve around the Sun, thus it moves slowly compared to other planets, thus the Sanskrit name शनि. Shani is actually a demi-god and is a son of Surya (the Hindu Sun God) and his wife Chhaya. It is said that when he opened his eyes as a baby for the very first time, the sun went into an eclipse, which clearly denotes the impact of Shani on astrological charts (horoscope). Shani is the god of Shani-war (saturday).
The worship of Lord Hanuman is a panacea for the harsh effects of the 'unfavourable' presence of Lord Shani. In the Ramayana, Lord Hanuman is said to have rescued Shani from the clutches of Ravana and in gratitude, Shani promised Hanuman that anyone who prayed to Him (Hanuman), especially on Saturdays, would be rescued from the "malefic" effects of Saturn, or at the very least, the effects would be softened.
Another version of the encounter between Lord Hanuman and Shani Bhagavan is that once Shani climbed on to Hanuman's shoulder, implying that Shani's influence was beginning on Lord Hanuman. At this, Hanuman assumed a large size, and Shani was caught painfully between Hanuman's shoulders and the ceiling of the room they were in. As the pain was unbearable, Lord Shani requested Lord Hanuman to release him, promising in return, that if a person prayed to Lord Hanuman, he (Shani) would moderate or eliminate the malefic effects of his influence on that person; following this, Lord Hanuman released Shani.
hand, denotes troubles in all of the above. Shani is much feared by those Hindus who believe in astrology, as the "malefic" effects of his being unfavourably placed can be quite severe. However, it is to be remembered that any pleasure or pain that befalls a person during Shani's influence is not arbitrary; rather, it is the result of the person's own karma, now being manifested in the "presence" of Shani. Thus an "unfavourably placed" Shani brings about the harsh results of one's bad karma, and vice-versa.The diseases which Lord Shani gives are decay, constriction, poor blood supply, atrophy, etc. and at mental level narrow mind, low thinking. These diseases need to be cured by Lord Shani rules and regulations only. Shani rules over masses. Without the planet's blessings in one's horoscope, a mass following is difficult to come by. Lord Shaniswara is also known as Needhiman(Judge). He only troubles the person during his dasa for the wrong doings. Even in Shani Dosha, if a person is Righteous & Devoted he is sure to come out of this period without any ill effects
Shani rules the signs Makara (Capricorn) and Kumbha (Aquarius), is exalted in Tula (Libra) and is debilitated in Mesha (Aries). Mercury, Venus, Rahu, Ketu are considered friendly towards Shani or Saturn, while the Sun, Moon and Mars are enemies. Guru or Jupiter maintains neutral relations with Shani. Shani is the lord of three nakshatras or lunar mansions: Pushya (poosam), Anuradha (Anusham) and Uttara Bhadrapada (Uthiratadhi).

Rahu
Moola or Bheej mantra for Rahu
राहु"Om bhram bhreem bhroum sah rahave namah"
North Lunar NodeNeed to do 18000 times in 40 days (450 times a day)
Rahu is associated with the world of material manifestation and worldly desire, as well as random, uncontrolled growth without wisdom or understanding.
Rahu can be considered to be the expert among the planets when it comes to scheming and plotting. It is the master of manipulation.
Lal Kitab makes an interesting point that if Jupiter and Venus are conjunct in a chart, they can together be treated as Rahu. This relates to the fact that Rahu acts as a bridge between Jupiter who is the preceptor of the Gods, and Venus, who is the preceptor of the Demons.
Rahu governs all sorts of poisonous chemicals like fertilizers, pesticides, and disinfectants that are in use in the present times. It also governs all the substances with a strong pungent smell like the sulphur-dioxide gas. In other words Rahu has a role to play whenever a poisonous substance is involved.
There is no equal to Rahu when it comes to giving Upliftment in Name and Fame , Sudden Luck Gambling, which is probably the reason why Western astrologers regard it as the greatest benefic force.
Rahu is friends with Saturn, Mercury and Venus. It is neutral towards Mars, Jupiter. It is the enemy of Sun and Moon. It is important to note that Rahu is more inimical to Sun as compared to Moon.
Hanuman, in his childhood, famously flew towards the sun, as it appeared to be a big fruit. The day was solar eclipse day, when Rahu was to swallow up the sun. Rahu arrived and saw Hanuman trying to swallow the sun; little Hanuman, seeing Rahu, was attracted to the curiosity of the disembodied head, and caught Rahu.
On another occasion, during the Ramayana war, Ravana imprisoned Navagrahas. Hanuman arrived and released Navagraha. Navagraha then blessed Hanuman, stating that "people devoted to you are blessed by us too". Individually all graha blessed Hanuman. Thus Rahu's negative influence will be subdued when one worships Lord Hanuman
Rahu is lord of three nakshatras or lunar mansions: Ardra (Tthiruvadhirai), Swathi (Svati) and Shatabhisha (Sadhaya)

Ketu
Moola or Bheej mantra for Ketu
केतु"Om shram shreem shroum sah ketave namah"
South Lunar NodeNeed to do 7000 times in 40 days (175 times a day)
Ketu is generally referred to as a "shadow" planet. He is considered as Tail of the Demon Snake. It is believed to have a tremendous impact on human lives and also the whole creation. Astronomically, Ketu and Rahu denote the points of intersection of the paths of the Sun and the Moon as they move on the celestial sphere. Therefore, Rahu and Ketu are respectively called the north and the south lunar nodes. The fact that eclipses occur when Sun and Moon are at one of these points gives rise to the story of the swallowing of the Sun and the Moon.
Ketu represents karmic collections both good and bad, spirituality and supernatural influences. Ketu is associated with the Meena Avatar (Fish Incarnation) of Vishnu. Ketu signifies the spiritual process of the refinement of materialization to spirit and is considered both malefic and benefic, as it causes sorrow and loss, and yet at the same time turns the individual to God. In other words, it causes material loss in order to force a more spiritual outlook in the person. Ketu is a karaka or indicator of intelligence, wisdom, non-attachment, fantasy, penetrating insight, derangement, and psychic abilities. Ketu is believed to bring prosperity to the devotee's family, removes the effects of snakebite and illness arising out of poisons. He grants good health, wealth and cattle to his devotees. Ketu is the lord of three nakshatras: Ashvini (Ashwini or Ashwathi), Magha (Maham) and Mula (Moola)
The people who come under the influence of Ketu can achieve great heights, most of them spiritual.
