Death indications in a horoscope

Death indications in a horoscope.

Bhagwan Sri Krishna describes death as a transition from one body to another. He says The ‘DEYHI” the one who resides inside the physical body called as the “DEYHA” is a temporary tenant and has to leave it when his contract is over. The Deyhi gets attached to Deyha and does not want to leave it hence the very thought makes him miserable.

Vedic astrology classifies death into 4 categories. Death as an infant, Death as a young person under 24, death in middle age up to sixty and death in old age extending up to 120 or even more. In Indian astrology the first one is known as BAALAARISHTA, and the second as ALPAAYU, the third one as MADHYAAYU, and the last is VRIDDHAYU.

The Indian astrology texts like Brihat Jataka of Varaha Mihira, Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra, Sarvaartha Chintaamani etc give detailed combinations leading to death in appropriate category. In these texts there are also clauses leading to APA MRITYU or accidental death such as Accidents, natural calamities, suicides, death by poison, by animals by drowning, hanging, and in War or a battle.

Vedic Astrology has several methods of calculating the longevity of an individual. The astrologer first looks as to what category the horoscope belongs to and then gets down to calculating the life span.

Saturn is deemed as the Ayush karaka or significator of life. His transits are of great importance in deciding the death of self, parents, siblings and other relatives. Raahu is the Terminator so his movement also is of importance in deciding the death period.

Combinations for all the four categories of Death are given in detail in Indian astrology texts and invariably one combination fits like a glove for any horoscope of that category. Type of death place of death, and at home, or far away place or while traveling can be found out by an astrologer without much difficulty.

The 2nd and 7th houses of a horoscope are called Maaraka or Killer houses; the 3rd and 8th houses are houses of life. Besides the 11th lord for movable signs, 9th lord for fixed signs and 7th lord for dual signs are deemed as Maarakas or killers.

It takes Astrologers skill to determine the correct Maaraka. Lastly Life and death are God given and not man made. None is immortal and none can ever become one without Gods express sanction.
